chocolate bunnies and furry shoes

This was a chocolate bunny my dad bought me when I was ill, best medicine ever!

Tshirt- Primark
Skirt- Matalan
Tights- Asda
Shoes- Chockers

And my Outfit for today's lovely sunny day!

My new shoes my mama bought me, never thought I'd be wearing brogues, just never appealed to me or my style...but leopard print FURRY brogues...DEFINITELY my style! (and only £15!)
Woolly tights and two coats was not a good option for such a sunny day, will be dressing more spring like tomorrow!

And here's a photo of that bit of scenery I did for my local primary school last week, just a bit of scene setting with limited materials and time but worked well and their YE-HA! musical was excellent and very funny, also enjoyed putting on temporary tattoos with them, until they told me my fairy was wonky. Thanks.

Agressive Dancer

Testing, testing, 1,2,3.....*cough* hello  and I'm back!

No longer ill and in good spirits and ready to blog EVERYDAY, that is my aim, shoot me if I don't.

Obviously the best cure for being ill was some aggressive partying so that was exactly what I did!
forgot to take outfit photos, but they are all new buys! So here you get to witness the awesomeness of the most aggressive dancer in the room....MOI.

Bambi Tank top- H&M childrens
Shorts- H&M childrens

ill musings

Sorry for the lack of posts this week...I have been suffering from an illness for since Sunday, haven't left the house since Tuesday (I sound like this Craig David song haha!) and have been unable to do much at all, but I seem to be over the worst of it now, thankfully!

Whilst I have been stuck at home I did have a few moments to do some crafting...
Mainly all these clips!

They don't all suit my style/clothes so I don't know what I'm going to do with some of them.....But I did enjoy making them!

Monday 21 March 2011

Hello guys ;)

Hello all you beautiful guys! Yes, I'm talking to you all my lovely followers.. woah I actually have followers, kinda creepy!

Nah, I love you all and welcome to anyone who's new, drop me a comment ;)

I am snuggled in bed in my Christmas onesie as i am suffering from the black death, but I am in good spirits and glad to be on here blogging away!

Here's some pictures of my outfit on Saturday when I had a really lovely day shopping with my grandparents in Bromely, I love them so much <3

My grandma is my inspiration for everything, amazing artist, and the most fashion forward person ever, who never wears under a 4inch heel, for real, even in the house!
My grandad is full of stories and information about London (he's an original black cab driver! and still is!) and always thinking of me, when picking me up leaflets for galleries.

T-shirt- child's H&M
Denim shorts- Child's H&M
Leggings- cheap market shop
boots- Doc martens
Jacket- Levi, gift
Earrings- RiverIsland

It was a pretty sunny day so decided to wear my new shorts and leggings. haha tow of my items are from the children's section of H&M. mature.
I want to stud them, and some of the jacket ( it is an original Levi's worn to all the 60's festivals by a good family friend who passed it on to me, and I have not needed another denim jacket since!)

Anyone tried this?

Where did you buy  your studs from?

On Sunday I did my photo shoot for the lingerie set that I designed and made which came out really well, I was going for a 50's glamour look so decided to put my hair in rollers....took forever but looked pretty cool! I may share some of the pics from the shoot soon, but for now I'm gonna sleep, night guys! x

Tshirt- Primark
Jeggings- Asda
Boots- Doc martens
Wednesday's lazy ass outfit. just thought I'd make my photos a bit more exciting scary so excuse the weird faces/ angles. Apart from the last one which was my Rapping pose as I was having another Gwen Stefani sesh whilst wishing it was warm enough for me/ I had the figure for her sports tops.

She was my first and still right up there at the top girl crush... she had/still has such killer style! Her 90's sport tops and killer eyebrows will always do it for me... I aspire to one day have  eyebrows as perfect as Gwen's!

kiss kiss

In lead up to red nose day  I wore my old red nose day tshirt on Tuesday after finishing the scenery I was painting on Monday! Will post pictures soon, when i work out how to get them off my phone haha.

I can't wait to leave school, the moment I go in for one day everyone pisses me off, well apart form the few friends in art. People constantly asking me if my clothes are from Topshop. SHOOT ME. No they are not, there is more than one shop in the world and we don't all have to wear Topshop clone outfits stolen off of the mannequins like you all do. I apologise for my ranting, to make up for it here is my cheesy smile face.

T-shirt- comic relief
Hold ups- Poundland
Skirt- River Island
Shoes- Mark Jasons

Another Poundland Purchase and they have kisses all over them and ribbon bows on the back :)...maybe I should rename my blOg...'Poundland's Purchases!'

I will be doing a comic relief night blog post, and if you follow me( or you could not, I'm cool with that)  on twitter I will doing regular updates on the funny shit!

I can't spell leprechaun

Long time no blog! I have been majorly busy, with just too much work so that I have to decide what will get done and what wont. It's gonna be like this for the next week but  I am going to try to post just as much; I should allow myself one simple pleasure!

HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY!!
I realised I had NO green clothes, apart from combats which were in the wash so I went to my favourite high street shop....Poundland of course!
I was hoping they would have hold ups like they did for valentines but they didn't so I bought this clover tie, and wore it as a belt! It has clovers all over it and one four leaf clover.....lucky!

Dress- Charity shop
Socks- Primark
Shoes- Dr martens
Tie/belt- Primark

I apologise for the shit everything about this photo, but I had literally 1 minute to take it and was in a AHHH I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO mood.
Well I'm looking forward to comic relief night tomorrow, gonna stay in and have an indian to watch it, as there's a DR WHO SPECIAL! woooop!
Already bought my t-shirt, red nose and have been eating the Jimmy Con Carne crisps (which are my new favourite flavour!) everyday since they were out...I'm serious.

Monday 14 March 2011

|There's an 'us' in usual.

I had a relaxing weekend mainly consisting of the usual, with my usual people.
Here are some of the things I did and some things I bought!

1. dressed up in a red  bob wig with a fringe, which quite suited me, and I might get into cosplay just so I can wear it.

2. Watched the Olivier Awards on BBC2 red button, glad they covered it, but I didn't see many of the awards as it was being interrupted with sodding BBC2 toff interviews, I don't fucking care about which level you find yourself on when you travel into the metaphor behind the interpretation of this forgotten, rediscovered, unwritten, heartfelt play. I WANTED TO SEE THE PERFORMANCES.
Ramin Karimloo was amazing as always performing Till I hear you Sing and the Phantom and Christine form Phantom of The Opera were amazing too, so was Into the Woods, Alfie Boe and Angela Lansbury, so was a good watch apart from the toffs saying 'if (fill in the gap with mentioned play) doesn't win (fill in gap with mentioned award) then there's no justice in the world' for every interview :/

3. Went to the piercing shop with my grandma....It wasn't me having TWO  piercings, it was HER. I  have a cool grandma!

4. Built my new greenhouse, I got it in Wilkinsons for £12! it is huge so was such a bargain!

5. Bleached my hair, I am officially an ultra light ash baby blonde :)

And I bough these.....

Shorts H&M childrens £9.99

Bag- Priamark childrens £1.30

Clips- Priamrk Childrens £1 per pack

T-shirt Primark Men's £5
Earrings- Claires £4
Leggings £10 cheap shop
I got some bargains but maybe it should be worrying that the majority come from children/men's section of the shops haha.
The bag and clips were just too adorable especially RAINBOWS and PARROTS and CUPCAKES, I had a bit of an excited squeal scream in Primark which made people look haha

I did not own a pair of shorts until i bought these ones, I fancied a highwaisted, denim pair but not butcrack showing hotpants, I wanted there to actually be some short there rather than them being denim knickers. I tried a few pairs on in H&M but they were too short, which is fine if your J-lo but it doesn't really flatter my shape. I spied these ones in the girl's section and looking knowing I fit into the teen wear around my waist ( not trousers haha ankle swingers!) i tried them on. They are a much more flattering shape and very comfy so i bought them....oh and they were £15 cheaper than women's ones!

The T-shirt was one of those 'Oh I can't not buy that now that I've seen it' Purchases, I had also seen it Here at kellicious (check it out, click the link)

The Leggings  were just also unusual for only £10 to go past....and my mama was way too excited about the union jack ones!

There are so many clothes in primark and topshop etc at the moment with the American flag on , yeh it's pretty and all but I'm not American and would rather have the Union Jack ,they just don't do as many items with it on, which is strange seeing as it is actually our country's flag.

Off to sea...

Wish I was at the beach for this outfit today. Check out my blank expression on the second photo, had to put it up for lols...yeh my life is exciting.

Tshirt- Select
Skirt- Zara (it has loads of swimming women over it!)
Tights- Asda
Shoes- Mark Jasons
Scarf- Charity shop

I really want to do a week (or certain days a week?) of movie inspired outfits, and really would like some company on this adventure.
The idea was to get a few people to join doing it then either, decide on some classic movies or let everyone pick a movie each and then all wear an outfit inspired from the movie, not like dressing up as the character ( unless you want to, I'm not gonna stop you) but dressed with inspirational links to the film/ themes.

Obviously needs organising so if anyone, anyone at all (please don't leave me like a loner- I'm too used to it, as I'm the only one in my year not invited to this party tomorrow- I don't want to go anyway. they're all shitheads. *anger face*) fancies this or something like this but a bit different ( I'm open to suggestions!) please either comment on this post or email me at medusaswardrobe@yahoo.co.uk
and if you know anyone who would be interested please mention it or link it in your posts, would be most appreciated!
This has the potential to be amazing, and a bit of fun with your wardrobe!

Mellow Yellow

Went for a simplistic look today...maybe because I was in a rush for the bus haha!
Me and my art buddy Rennigan (who I  must credit for most of my outfit photos!) both were wearing yellow today....
UPDATE: just realised i look far from mellow in this photo, although that is how I feel, I look so severe yet not aggressive, like I'm just gonna give you evils and stride off, instead of chokeing you on your own teeth which is what I am secretly thinking of too harsh, probs just pull the chair from under you .
Shirt- H&M
Jeans- Primark but bleached by me
Boots- DrMartens
T-Shirt with braces- Zara
Skirt- Zara

These were a pair of jeans I bought in Primark and decided to bleach myself....
And I used lemon bleach and they went yellow!! haha
Well I quite like them and they are selling pastel jeans in the shops now so I'm ahead of the game!

Check out all my Sherlock Holmes related mood board going on in the background....

I went out for Nandos tonight with a friend and didn't bother changing, just changed my boots to heeled DM's and put a black sparkly jacket on....
Yeh I forgot to take photos (I am currently in two pairs of jimjams...I'M COLD!)  so you get my lame  description.

Oh, and I want one of those cape/top things I've seen, I've tried a coral coloured one on in Zara but the colour was not for me so I may make my own :)

Tuesday 8 March 2011

flippant boho

Happy Pancake Day Everyone!!!!
I have had my pancakes :) I made them for all my family and I had maple syrup on mine..mmmmm.....
Had a quiet weekend staying in finishing off my lingerie collection, which I am really pleased with, not too much F-ing and blinding at the sewing machine either! This was my outfit for today....I really can't get out of this boho rut I'm in, just loving the feel of it lately... like here
Might be because it's freezing in the morning and brightens up in the afternoon, and this layering style works best for coping with the weather!
I even got outside to take some photos, although the pesky sun did not help!
Dress- new look, but self bleached
Leggings- H&M
Boots- Dr.Martens
Waistcoat- H&M
Beads- Vintage
Hairclip- H&M

And Happpy National Women's Day everyone!
I spent the day in the studio, got lots of work done, including weaving a path out of pages of books and twine, constructing a train and finishing my armature of a dog(which is on my desk in the window and probably scaring the shit out of anyone that walks past!).....can't decide what to cover it with yet, mod roc or fabric?
