WEIRD ENGLAND

Wednesday it was SUNNY! not exactly warm but not freezing either! So I took the opportunity to take an outdoor photo :) Usually the weather is to horrific to do outdoor photos so I thought I would make the most of it by going down by the trees.

I wish the nice weather would stay but it was freezing again today, and there are rumours that it will snow again! WEIRD ENGLAND.

T-shirt- Miss Selfridges
Skirt- River Island
Jacket- Primark
Scarf- H&M
Socks- H&M
Shoes- TUK

This was  a bargain outfit, the t-shirt was £5 in the sale (it's barbie <3) after I have waited, yes i wait for things to go in the sale, for it to be reduced...first £18..no, then £15...no, then £10...no, £5 HELLSYEH!

And the jacket was one I bought in my trip to Bromley the other day, it's velvet and purple and was only £3!!!
People always ask me how I get so many bargains, and that they never find any, but I don't know :/
I don't really follow fashion, or trends much, unless they suit my style anyway, like all this pastel floral stuff, which is really pretty and I love the material and shape but it isn't me.
Maybe if they made it in red or leopard print haha
Well I think this is why things I like are in sales more, because it's not all the new fashion!

Some of you will know I have a garden and keep bunnies and the such and I also have a veg patch which I was pondering what to plant in this year.
Well everyday this week, when I have got home (bout 4pm) I have gone out the garden till dark, let my bunnies run free ( they are in large pens in the garden the rest of the time because of Mr Foxy) and be really naughty and climb on the bench and stick their head in through the window of the shed (must take a photo next time!)
Time in garden = not a state garden, dug over veg patch and my legs and back aching...
ACHING!!

Top photo is my veg patch, all tidy with new compost from the composter over it :)
And this is my Jemima <3 shes a bit  cuddly *cough* FAT *cough* at the moment, as they do get over winter so she did lovely running round the garden and binkies all down the path to shed those pounds :)
She should make an exercise DVD.

JINGLE JINGLE

Jacket- Bay Trading
Dress- Zara
Leggings- Primark
Boots- Doc martens

Tuesday Outfit.... I had a really nice outfit on Monday, but left my camera in the studio because I'm an idiot. And yeah, I know my face looks weird in this, this is me in my natural state in the studio and caught unaware ha ha but then my camera died...'Battery exhausted' I hate that.
I love this dress, bought it like 2 years ago but it always seems to get compliments, I think it's the little bells on the waist, I LOVE JINGLING <3
May sew bells onto more things ....hmmm....

I'm well busy this week :( as always! but not with art, with a lingerie project I need finished by Monday, it's a collection of 50's inspired structural lingerie, which I've designed, making and am going to model.....yeh lol

Oh and working my way through writing an essay and reading 3 books  on Palestine/Israel....questioninng the existance of Arab nationalism and all that shizzzz

BTW OMG about John Galliano being sacked from Dior...Lol jokes I hate the racist bastard.

And I've never been too keen on 'fashion houses' anyway, well not in today's society.

NO shit Sherlock!

I went to London on Friday and went to Sherlock Holmes House (again haha) obviously it's not his ACTUAL house...unless you have some cool machine which can send you inside books to live them out....oh I WISH!

It's just the house that was written about in the Sherlock Holmes novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, which does actually exist on London but had not relation, and they have turned it into a museum :)

Step inside 221b Baker street...

I love going it's not expensive (£4 a person) and although it's only small the detail is soooo coool!
Especially for a literary geek like me, all the house is set out as it is described on the book, even with pots, books and souvenirs from all the tales just as in the novels!
It's 5 stories of room and some models/waxworks of the characters and then next door is the gift shop which is awesome!  obviously i bought lots of things.well, the things I didnt already have from last time!
If anyone is going to London you need to check it out as its like stepping into that time, and even if you have only seen the movie you will think it;s good, all the staff are dressed up and their is a policeman on the door who you have to give your ticket to:)

I didn't really do an outfit photo for this day but you can kinda see what I was wearing....

Trim trimmery Trim trimmery Trim Trim triri!

Hair cut...feels SO GOOD! Apart from shaving my head I haven't had my Hair cut since beginning of December...which is reeally long for me and I felt a bit like a wolf-girl.

quick snap... it doesn't look much shorter but I had more than an inch cut off!

Shirt - Internacionalle
Skirt- Primark
Leggings- Market
Today was the day of fresh starts...
Had a big clean up today in the studio...looks so different, will post a picture tomorrow to compare to the state it was in last week!
New project today WHOOP! I love a new project, so exciting, there are so many option on the exam paper I cannot decide definitely yet, but looking forward to buying a new sketchbook....not so much the 15 hour exam at the end of this one.
And new hair! Also bought myself a few beauty treats, such as not the cheapest hairspray ( only because they had run out tho! and the one I got is huge and was on offer!)
And a different hair mousse, I can never find one that adds enough volume in just one application :( major problem of my life haha

Must. Stop. Spending.

These are my finds when I went shopping last Saturday. As always I didn't need anything but when you find such bargains you HAVE to get them...don't you?

purple maxi velvet dress
Miss selfridges
reduced to from £49 to £7

hair clips
Peacocks
flower £1
Stars and stripes bows £3.50

Black velvet jacket
Miss selfridges
reduced to £15

army hole tights - Internacionalle £1
Glitter socks - Poundland £1 a pack

Denim dress
Peacocks

Paintbrushes -Poundland £1
Dress pattern - charity shop 50p
Buttons -charity shop 50p
Miss sporty- pack Poundland £1

Organic cotton skirt- H&M £5 on sale

Boots- Internacionalle £12 on sale

Bag- Peacocks £5 on sale

Of course I shopped in all the expensive shops as per. Even got my butler to carry the bags and talk to the shop assistants because I don't dare mingle with the common folk.

LOL JOKES I shop in Poundland.

Couldn't believe my luck when I found those glittery socks in Poundland, so of course bought them in every colour, treated myself to some new very expensive brushes lol £1.

I don't bother with expensive art equipment even though its all I do every day because quite frankly I have never been able to tell the difference between something painted in a set of £1 brushes and something painted in a £19.99 brush made from the Queen's personal hog hair farm.  Maybe that's just me being a Cheapskate, i prefer to have new ones every week that are cheap because I ruin them so quickly.

You gotta love Poundland though, we have two in our town and a 99p Store, always buy a basketful and loads of toiletries/food ...OK practically everything in there.

The bargains from Miss selfridges were to good to miss, to get two things for under £20 is an actual  miracle in there, especially such good pieces, and VELVET!

Looking forward to wearing that dress sooon!

Velveteeeen

I'm a teen...wearing velvet...becausee who doesn't love it!?

Dress Internaccionale
Leggings Primark
Boots Internaccionale
Necklaces H&M and vintage

Once again it was RAINING..pretty sick of it now. So my photos are cruddy, and don't do this dress justice. It's got a really cool back that is pleated and flared compared to the tank-dress front. I wore this outfit on Saturday because I just needed something comfy to wear whilst trawling the charity shops, I didn't wear these shoes, these were ones I bought in the sales....see next post!

Also, actually in love with this song atm, it didn't catch on to me when it was popular a few months ago because its not really my sort of thing..... but after having them sing it live on the new Radio 1 live LOUNGE CD, I can't stop singing it! This is a live version of 'The Cave' By Mumford and Sons.

Tell me what you think guys ...

Hello, I am C-3PO, human cyborg relations. How might I serve you?

Medusa here, reporting for her first day at space camp.
Looking forward to learning quickly everything there is to learn about working on the space craft so that I may soon explore to the furthest limits of time and space.

hmm.... or just a Tuesday morning. LOL

Tee H&M
Skirt Primark
Tights Geroge at Asda
Jacket Bay Trading
Beads H&M
Boots Dr Martens
Earrings Pilot

If you've been following me on twitter then you would know I watched Episode 1 Phantom Menace of Star Wars at the weekend. And found myself wearing one of my ahem *many*  Star Wars tops.
I love this one as its quite long (allthough tucked in here) and isnt just a logo or pictures but the whole Tee, front and back, is like cosmic space with the iconic picture of Luke and Darthvader on the front, which always creates the same query...

'Is that Jesus?'
'No. How can you know about religion and not THE MOST recognisable Star Wars character. Sort your life out.' is my response.

I  also painted my nails, attempting to paint all the planets = FAIL. so I took it off and painted them a metallic purple with sliver glitter at the tips, very cosmic.

The photo FOR ONCE actually shows the awesomeness of these lurex glitter tights, which were a bargain 75p.

Finishing off with a crisp white jacket, very futuristic, mirrored broach, purple glass beads and purple planet earring I was all ready to sign up to fight the Federation.... If there was a sign up centre near my house....or if it wasnt fictional.

Note to self, Art Studio stairs pics= AWWWKWWARD!

You can't stop change any more than you can stop the suns from setting.

Here kitty,kitty,kitty...

Oh I wish I had a kitty, a cute little one to sit on my lap, snuggling in the warmth of a blanket, when I sit here to post, but for now I will make do with leopard skin....

I like an animal print, or two, or three- OK I admit it I have an absolute obsession with animal prints and these jodper leggings that my cousin bought me for CChristmas satisfied my craving enough for today...

( I apologise for the horrific facial expression, I have resorted to using the self timer and change my face at least 10000 times in the space of 10 seconds and this is the result)

Leggings H&M
Top Primark
Skirt Primark
Jacket Ralph Lauren find in charity shop
Necklace H&M
Boots Dr Martens

The shirt which I wear as a jacket was an amazing find for under £5 in a charity shop, crushed velvet with metal studding along arms and collar, I had bought it before I even saw the label!

First day back and I actually enjoyed myself, glad to be back creating and looking forward to rounding off this project at the end of this month!
Had the fun experience (although i forgot to take photos..soz) of having my leg cast with plaster today, it was very cold, then hot, then felt kinda numb but....  i enjoyed it! haha it was for my friend's Art project.

I would also like to share with you a photo of one of my fellow Art buds, Caz, after admiring her 70's inspired outfit for the whole day! So cute with the floral blouse and high waisted pleated skirt! Her parted hair and duck egg nail polish set off the outfit wonderfully!
