GEEEK FEST (Batman Live and Drwho Experience )Part 1

Subtitile : The post in which I say 'Awesome' a million times, so if you are offended/scared by this word please divert to another post!
Me and my bro had major geek Birthdays this year (as always!) Early September we went to the O2 to see  Batman Live!! I wasn;t quite sure what to expect, although watching traliers and all that, was it a show? was it fight scences? And I have to be honest IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANYTHING I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE!

There was loads of little kiddies and adults dressed as batman which was proper cuuute, my whole family wore matching Batman tees, apart from me coz I'm a rebel.
Instead I wore a pinstriped shirt, bowtie (because bowties are cool) and leather trousers, kinda Penguin Inspired :)
The show though, just wowowowowow not only was the set awesome and the costumes were awesome and the actors were awesome and the music was awesome but they had pages of the comic flicking through each section to tell parts of the story on giant screens which was just aweeesome :)

yaknow, batman and robin departing from us, I didnt take many photos during the performance becuase well, I was enjoying the awesomeness!! :) My mama is excellent and got us amazing seats sitting right near the stage nearly head on, but tbh you would of had a good view from anywhere and they moved around alot and it was performed in the round rahter than on a set back stage :)

That day we left the car at O2 and after some Nandos we took the thames boat into central London to go to the MUseum of London :) Heres a few pics of the cool buildings by the O2 and some random stuff in the Museum!

 Everyone loves a carriage,
Alot of the buildings there are made with like jigsaw tiles on them, they were pretty awesome :)

Sculpture outside the Barbican, totally not supposed to get on it, but I did.

Anyway Keep tuned for Part two sooon!!

ill musings

Sorry for the lack of posts this week...I have been suffering from an illness for since Sunday, haven't left the house since Tuesday (I sound like this Craig David song haha!) and have been unable to do much at all, but I seem to be over the worst of it now, thankfully!

Whilst I have been stuck at home I did have a few moments to do some crafting...
Mainly all these clips!

They don't all suit my style/clothes so I don't know what I'm going to do with some of them.....But I did enjoy making them!

I can't spell leprechaun

Long time no blog! I have been majorly busy, with just too much work so that I have to decide what will get done and what wont. It's gonna be like this for the next week but  I am going to try to post just as much; I should allow myself one simple pleasure!

HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY!!
I realised I had NO green clothes, apart from combats which were in the wash so I went to my favourite high street shop....Poundland of course!
I was hoping they would have hold ups like they did for valentines but they didn't so I bought this clover tie, and wore it as a belt! It has clovers all over it and one four leaf clover.....lucky!

Dress- Charity shop
Socks- Primark
Shoes- Dr martens
Tie/belt- Primark

I apologise for the shit everything about this photo, but I had literally 1 minute to take it and was in a AHHH I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO mood.
Well I'm looking forward to comic relief night tomorrow, gonna stay in and have an indian to watch it, as there's a DR WHO SPECIAL! woooop!
Already bought my t-shirt, red nose and have been eating the Jimmy Con Carne crisps (which are my new favourite flavour!) everyday since they were out...I'm serious.

flippant boho

Happy Pancake Day Everyone!!!!
I have had my pancakes :) I made them for all my family and I had maple syrup on mine..mmmmm.....
Had a quiet weekend staying in finishing off my lingerie collection, which I am really pleased with, not too much F-ing and blinding at the sewing machine either! This was my outfit for today....I really can't get out of this boho rut I'm in, just loving the feel of it lately... like here
Might be because it's freezing in the morning and brightens up in the afternoon, and this layering style works best for coping with the weather!
I even got outside to take some photos, although the pesky sun did not help!
Dress- new look, but self bleached
Leggings- H&M
Boots- Dr.Martens
Waistcoat- H&M
Beads- Vintage
Hairclip- H&M

And Happpy National Women's Day everyone!
I spent the day in the studio, got lots of work done, including weaving a path out of pages of books and twine, constructing a train and finishing my armature of a dog(which is on my desk in the window and probably scaring the shit out of anyone that walks past!).....can't decide what to cover it with yet, mod roc or fabric?

Panda Escaped!

Just a quick post of Yesterday's outfit as I am just back form my local Primary where I am painting the scenery ( western) and about to go out to do crafts (sequined necklace, and I'm obviously making one for myself too!) with my local Rainbows <3 :) aww I love children...well as long as they don't smell...ha ha
It was Freezing cold but then brightened up so I went outside of the studio .....*gasp* she escaped, she never comes out *gasp* to take a photo...
Well I only got as far as the quad where the back of the studio is but hey, it was nice and sunny there.....

First photo = me: please don't take a photo, the sun is blinding me
Friend: haha lol
Second photo= Panda is escaping
Third photo= Panda has escaped, But I love him <3 ( lol check out one of my art buddies' faces in the window, haha, yeh, this is the excitement of our lives)

Update: After escaping Panda was sunbathing outside, he has now had an unfortunate encounter with the evil strimmer man, but will soon be back to full health .

Dress- Gratan
Beads- Vintage
Hairclip-  H&M
Boots- Dr martens (my leopard print ones <3)

Yesterday DeeDeeOhho commented on this post wondering if I would show some of my art. I never really had decided to Post my art because I didn't think you guy's would be that interested in it, but seeing as I talk about the studio, and little bits about what I'm doing \(especially if you follow me on twitter) maybe I should?

Give me some comments guys if you would like me to post on some of my work :)

NO shit Sherlock!

I went to London on Friday and went to Sherlock Holmes House (again haha) obviously it's not his ACTUAL house...unless you have some cool machine which can send you inside books to live them out....oh I WISH!

It's just the house that was written about in the Sherlock Holmes novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, which does actually exist on London but had not relation, and they have turned it into a museum :)

Step inside 221b Baker street...

I love going it's not expensive (£4 a person) and although it's only small the detail is soooo coool!
Especially for a literary geek like me, all the house is set out as it is described on the book, even with pots, books and souvenirs from all the tales just as in the novels!
It's 5 stories of room and some models/waxworks of the characters and then next door is the gift shop which is awesome!  obviously i bought lots of things.well, the things I didnt already have from last time!
If anyone is going to London you need to check it out as its like stepping into that time, and even if you have only seen the movie you will think it;s good, all the staff are dressed up and their is a policeman on the door who you have to give your ticket to:)

I didn't really do an outfit photo for this day but you can kinda see what I was wearing....

Clingfilm a boot.

Weirdest experience of the day...Cling filming a boot.

Then making up cellulose powder to papermache the boot.

Art of course haha!

I really want to find a Woodwork course to do, I love working with different material and love a bit of extra lessons. I did a Life drawing course before Christmas for 10 weeks and really enjoyed that. May find something for the summer.

Love to you all...

Here is my valentines day outfit.....sorry for the indoor photos, but although it was nice and sunny through the window it was sooooo freezing!!

Top- wallis
Skirt- H&M
Hold ups- Poundland

I did not get any cards/presents for V-day but that's ok I enjoyed wearing my outfit and came home early after a trip round the charity shops to buy MANY (i know have 9 on my shelf) versions of Sherlock Holmes novels ;)

I finished reading Hound of The Baskervilles tonight and although I read it for my project, I did thoroughly enjoy it, and if any of you haven't read it you definitely should because it is very short and such a good story!

I had a really nice outfit on today...with shoes! But it rained on me with no thought for my clothing, hair or even co oordinated nails, whilst I waited for my bus.
Then I put my feet into soaking wellies to go out to my poor bunnies so that when I came back in for a lovely curry I got straight into my jammies.

I've been in one of those weird moods today, I just feel so unproductive lately but I am trying to sort that out with some lists and plans!
I have planned some good posts about my trips to the theatre this weekend.... but for now you will have to be content with my excitement about some VERY EXTREMELY important current news....

STEPS ARE REFORMING!!!!

yes! finnally, I can bust out all my old dance routines to Tradegy and 5.6.7.8/.....It is gonna be pure 90's class.

Now I am gonig to snuggle down after finnishing my toast and jam, and now that the (very awesome) \Brit Awards have finished as I need to be PRODUCTIVE tommorow!
Night all xxx

Last week In Photo update

I haven't posted since last weekend, and so much has happened, but I will fill in you in with due course in the next few post.

First of all I have some sad news, one of my bunnies, Mason, passed away on Tuesday afternoon after having an operation to take his ingrown teeth removed. It was very upsetting as I spend so much time with my rabbits and love them so dearly.I miss him greatly but I still have two bunnies, Bugsey and Jemimia who I think are coping Ok without him.
I will get some more in the future (I did have 7 at one point, and I don't have little ones, I have the HUGE ones) but it will be more rescue ones when I do.

On Sunday I watched Mulan, one of most favourite Disney Movies EVER as what is better than a Disney princess....? A Disney princess that can kick ass of course!

And I must of bored my family to the point of wanting to stab me in the eyes with chopsticks by singing this song over and over again, at every inappropriate moment....
How can you not though, definitely one of my favourite Disney songs <3

The rest of the week was pretty normal tbh, have nearly finished reading my Sherlock Holmes books from this post and have mainly been doing my usual art and all that shizz.
Had my hair bleached, by my marvellous mother whilst I sung the above song at her.
Hey, I'm sure she enjoyed it.
Have been eating 2 creme eggs a night minimum. Healthy I know, but one is not filling enough and three makes you sick so two is the perfect number :)
I even had MacDonald's Breakfast on Friday with four of my guys, I had Sausage and Egg Mcmuffin, Had hash browns and Hot chocolate :)

I will leave my exciting Friday and Saturday seeing Frankenstein and Love Never Dies for the next post as I may go into some detail ha ha

Friday, 4 February 2011

Thank Fuck it's friday.

As you can see I went OTT with trying out some stuff on Photoscape :)
T-shirt- Primark, slashed by me
Jeans- Oxfam
Boots- Dr Martens
Scarf- H&M
Decided to slash the back of this Tshirt last night whilst watching that spooky Marchlands that was on. Will be watching the next one but it seems a bit predictable and slow. I like the back of the T-shirt but I still think the front is a bit plain, I want to print some Tees, might use some of my Iron on Transfers this weekend.
My boots are another one of pairs or Docs, you cant see the back in this pic but they have pick patent Guitars up the back. I think if I ever get married I'll wear white Docs, but not a white dress, I don't really do white clothing.

I'm so thank full it's finally Friday night, complete fall out. Hardcore Friday evening = town alone, library alone bus alone with unbelievable heavy bag with 10 books in.Yeah I know I should in Skins or some Teen cool TV show because my life is THAT thrilling.
Borrowed some books on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to use in my coursework, and some Sherlock Holmes books for my art project including this...

I'm not gonna hide from you that I am an immense IMMENSE IMMENSE
IMMENSE zombie fan.
Any kind, virus, supernatural, intelligent, undead,  modern day, futuristic, past...I just love them.
And seeing as my brother has nearly every Marvel comic in existence I also have a appreciation for graphic novels. I always love the independent ones especially Victorian/steam punk and stand reading them in Forbidden Planet, so when I stopped by the graphic novel section n the Library I had a look for any new/interesting arrivals...AND THERE WAS THIS!
The art is amazing, only read a bit on the bus whilst eating a Freddie frog and Chomp but it seems a pretty good storyline too!

I also went round all the charity shops and bought A Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle which I haven't read and a £1.40 kit to build your own MDF pop put dolls furniture...yeh I know.lol.
It was cool little chairs and Victorian/regency style table so I couldn't resist!

My mama bought me lots of nice treats from Asda, mainly chocolaty things, so I'm probs gonna go get some of them now, sit down with my Look and More magazines and wait for Embarrassing bodies to come on!

Heres a classic that always improves my Friday evening and is always in my Top 25 played on my iopd :)

Btw if you didn't know you can follow me on Twitter!
Hope your all having a chilled Weekend Eve xxx
