Earrings- Asda
Necklace- Asda

Here were my new buys, such a bargain!

Loving the sun, and being able to go out without a jumper and scarf and gloves and jacket. It's the Easter holidays now so am looking forward to doing lots of art outside as I have been these last two days!

Also since borrowing the Into The Woods CD can't stop listening to it, need to buy the DVD I love a new musical, especially Sondheim , he is a genius! And it is filled with so many good moral quotes my favourite being this said by the Witch....

 You're so nice.
You're not good,
You're not bad,
You're just nice.
I'm not good,
I'm not nice,
I'm just right.
I'm the Witch.
You're the world.

Hope your enjoying the sun!

flippant boho

Happy Pancake Day Everyone!!!!
I have had my pancakes :) I made them for all my family and I had maple syrup on mine..mmmmm.....
Had a quiet weekend staying in finishing off my lingerie collection, which I am really pleased with, not too much F-ing and blinding at the sewing machine either! This was my outfit for today....I really can't get out of this boho rut I'm in, just loving the feel of it lately... like here
Might be because it's freezing in the morning and brightens up in the afternoon, and this layering style works best for coping with the weather!
I even got outside to take some photos, although the pesky sun did not help!
Dress- new look, but self bleached
Leggings- H&M
Boots- Dr.Martens
Waistcoat- H&M
Beads- Vintage
Hairclip- H&M

And Happpy National Women's Day everyone!
I spent the day in the studio, got lots of work done, including weaving a path out of pages of books and twine, constructing a train and finishing my armature of a dog(which is on my desk in the window and probably scaring the shit out of anyone that walks past!).....can't decide what to cover it with yet, mod roc or fabric?

Panda Escaped!

Just a quick post of Yesterday's outfit as I am just back form my local Primary where I am painting the scenery ( western) and about to go out to do crafts (sequined necklace, and I'm obviously making one for myself too!) with my local Rainbows <3 :) aww I love children...well as long as they don't smell...ha ha
It was Freezing cold but then brightened up so I went outside of the studio .....*gasp* she escaped, she never comes out *gasp* to take a photo...
Well I only got as far as the quad where the back of the studio is but hey, it was nice and sunny there.....

First photo = me: please don't take a photo, the sun is blinding me
Friend: haha lol
Second photo= Panda is escaping
Third photo= Panda has escaped, But I love him <3 ( lol check out one of my art buddies' faces in the window, haha, yeh, this is the excitement of our lives)

Update: After escaping Panda was sunbathing outside, he has now had an unfortunate encounter with the evil strimmer man, but will soon be back to full health .

Dress- Gratan
Beads- Vintage
Hairclip-  H&M
Boots- Dr martens (my leopard print ones <3)

Yesterday DeeDeeOhho commented on this post wondering if I would show some of my art. I never really had decided to Post my art because I didn't think you guy's would be that interested in it, but seeing as I talk about the studio, and little bits about what I'm doing \(especially if you follow me on twitter) maybe I should?

Give me some comments guys if you would like me to post on some of my work :)

JINGLE JINGLE

Jacket- Bay Trading
Dress- Zara
Leggings- Primark
Boots- Doc martens

Tuesday Outfit.... I had a really nice outfit on Monday, but left my camera in the studio because I'm an idiot. And yeah, I know my face looks weird in this, this is me in my natural state in the studio and caught unaware ha ha but then my camera died...'Battery exhausted' I hate that.
I love this dress, bought it like 2 years ago but it always seems to get compliments, I think it's the little bells on the waist, I LOVE JINGLING <3
May sew bells onto more things ....hmmm....

I'm well busy this week :( as always! but not with art, with a lingerie project I need finished by Monday, it's a collection of 50's inspired structural lingerie, which I've designed, making and am going to model.....yeh lol

Oh and working my way through writing an essay and reading 3 books  on Palestine/Israel....questioninng the existance of Arab nationalism and all that shizzzz

BTW OMG about John Galliano being sacked from Dior...Lol jokes I hate the racist bastard.

And I've never been too keen on 'fashion houses' anyway, well not in today's society.

Elementary my dear Watson.

YAYYY NEW ART PROJECT. Capital letters only express a mere millionth of my excitement on this subject.
If you haven't used your sleuthing skills to work out from the post title, my project is on Sherlock Holmes!
I chose the title The Hound of The Baskervilles from the exam paper, because once I saw that I could not let myself pick anything else!

Its such a change from my usual style in art, more like something I would make a costume on...
My art usually is very contemporary, social, political, abrupt and responsive to society on anything from social conformity, religious conformity, religion corruption, contraception and sexual politics but this is totally different. I will probably take it down a very strange developmental path though!
Going to be a challenge but sooooo excited! Especially as it means new sketch books <3 went and got mine at lunch from paperchase.....
I went for the plain brown variety as per usual, the large one has brown paper inside and the smaller one is my notes book with lines in, these ones are bound like a book, very fitting compared to the ring binder huge ones I thought. Only £7.05 for the two and a new sparkly star pencil :)

Here is the promised picture of the newly cleaned art studio..
BEFORE.....
AFTER....
Note the Matt Smith on my side wall :)
soon it will be filled up again but with very different things!
And my outfit for today was....

Coat- Miss selfridges
Skirt- Primark
Top- H&M
Waistcoat- Select
Beads- Vintage
Shoes- Mark Jason's
Feeling very boho, always do once I've had my hair cut. Maxi skirt not the most practical for me though, my spacial awareness is poor to begin with!
Oh and BTW my water bottle's blood pressure is 35....or so the (evil that really hurt me) blood pressure monitor thinks so :)
